Charter School

Learn and Play

Many Charter School students are entitled to use charter funds to pay for any of our classes and camps.  Some limitations may apply based on restrictions per charter school, please check with your charter school on approved classes with the Newport Sea Base before registering.

Since 1937, the Newport Sea Base has provided fun and valuable educational maritime-based programs to all youth.

​

Year round, girls and boys can take classes in boating safety, dinghy and keelboat sailing, rowing, oceanography, environmental science, canoeing, kayaking, motor boat driving, and much more! The Newport Sea Base is open all youth, including Scouting members, and other youth and young-adult organizations.
